Trying to find a job is one of the most aggravating processes in life. It all begins with creating or updating your resume, researching area companies and following through with the interview. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a company that would just do it all for you?
Thanks to Lake Norman's Bob Hubner there is. With his seven-month old business, Race City Resumes, Hubner is making the job-finding process a little easier.
Hubner is a full-time employee at Pro-Motor Engines of Mooresville, a company specializing in building and maintaining engines for Winston Cup race teams. In December 1998 Hubner began pushing forward with a hobby of his, building resumes. For months he had been dabbling with resumes, helping a friend here and there. But in December he decided to start his own business and fill a unique niche in the Lake Norman area.
With Race City Resumes, Hubner specializes in helping people from around the world get a job in the racing industry. By simply filling out some information, Hubner can create a resume, cover letter and list of references; make multiple copies; and send them to companies within the race industry for a small fee.
"Our service helps the general public as well as the race teams," said Hubner. "Our goal is to be the number one contact for all the race teams to turn to."
Hubner keeps a data base of names with their specific skills. When a race company needs a specific skill on their team, they will contact Hubner and ask for potential employees.
"My service is a great asset to the race teams because all they have to do is make one phone call and I can fulfill their needs," Hubner explained. "And for the public, all they have to do is fill out a form and I'll do the rest. A few days later I'll tell them who I sent their information to and give them numbers where they need to follow up for interviews."
"I use top quality paper and printing processes to make sure each resume stands out above the rest, With my service you'll have a good chance at getting called in for an interview because your resume will rise above the rest," Hubner said.
Hubner also does work for the general public not interested in working in the race industry.
Hubner is currently located in Lakeside Business Park on Gasoline Alley in Suite 109. He will soon be located in a new building under construction at Lakeside Business Park behind the new Chick-fil-A.
