How do I get a job with NASCAR ?
|
|---|
|
If you are looking to work directly for NASCAR Inc. you can visit their
employment page at www.nascar.com
There are many independent companies that are associated with the NASCAR racing industry.
They include race teams, car and engine builders, parts suppliers, marketing firms, etc.
Race City Resumes can help you pursue getting a job with one of these companies.

Why can't I mail my resume to every NASCAR team ?
|
|---|
|
You can, just keep in mind that there are thousands of other people
doing the same thing. Teams don't have the time, or personnel, to process resumes all day.
That's why we do it for them. If it was easy to get a job on a race team there wouldn't be
a need for our agency.

Are job openings only available during the off-season
winter months ? |
| No! Teams are always looking for new talent any time during
the year in order to obtain the employee chemistry they need to build a winning team. |

|
What if I have little or no racing experience ? |
| Consider going to school.
Visit Jayski's Web Site (Scroll down until
you see "Racing Schools" link on the left side of page).
As with other professional sports, the "farm team" concept applies
here as well. Get involved at a local race track. Once you learn the basics, and have some
experience, get involved with a touring series in your area (ARCA, ASA, Busch
East,
Grand National West, Hooters Pro Cup, etc.). |

|
Do you have any suggestions on ways to improve my
chances of getting a job with a NASCAR race team ? |
| Become a Race City Resumes client and hire us to find you the job
that fits your skills and experience. As with many companies job openings may first be
filled from existing employees. You may have to accept a less desirable job to get
your foot in the door and then advance as opportunities become available.
Many times it's who you know that gets you an opportunity. There
is an advantage to living in an area like Charlotte, or Mooresville, and making yourself
known to those who are working for a team. Of course if you are a RCR client then you will
know someone who works with race teams. |
